For us, it is self-evident that all people have the same value and the right to enjoy the same opportunities. An inclusive and diverse workplace is also commercially and financially advantageous: it is quite simply more profitable. Research demonstrates that the greater the representation, the higher the likelihood of out performance.
"I get many requests to get involved in different companies. In order to step in as chairman of the board, a role that both requires time and where there are formal legal and finance responsibilities, there needs to be a solid foundation of trust in the company's management and its ability to deliver value to our customers at the highest level. There it has been spot on for me with Native Coders and incredibly inspiring to be part of this journey and see how the organisation grows with new exciting customers and more fantastic developers in Nairobi. So much female IT talent just waiting to shine!"

We Use Flexible Working
Most people prefer working from their home office, but there are times when we gather at the office—for team building, company lunches or dinners, customer visits, or simply for a change of scenery. It's a place where the magic happens—a space where we think, laugh, code, discuss, and celebrate together.
You can choose to work from any of our Ikigai office locations, including Westlands, Brookside, Lavington, Lower Kabete, or Riverside.
I am a STEM educator coming from an education background with 8 years total teaching experience. Currently working as a senior teacher trainer with Digital Education Africa Network (DEAN) and also the founder of Women in STEAM Initiative. I am hoping to bring my educational expertise in the Kenyan educational context and see how Native coders can be used as a bridge in empowering more girls into STEM with the focus on engineering.

Team Structure
Team structure refers to our people in Kenya, where we have our main organization, and covers both the technical team, developers and such, plus local management.
Environment and climate
At Native Coders, we believe that any company must work in harmony with the climate and our planet. Our primary emissions stem from electricity usage in our Nairobi office. Given Kenya's climate, heating is not a significant concern; instead, our energy consumption mainly involves lighting and powering our computers. We conduct most of our meetings online and endeavor to use trains and public transportation for any necessary in-person client meetings in Sweden. Within Kenya, our team predominantly relies on matatus (public minibus taxis) for commuting to the office, unless working from home, as we use a hybrid work model.
